WTF? No…WOTF.
FOG is an acronym for Fear, Obligation and Guilt. It was coined by Susan Forward and & Donna Frazier in their book Emotional Blackmail, a guide to identifying and dealing with emotional manipulators. I’ve had a few such key relationships in my life that engendered these emotions and sowed the seeds of chaos in my life. I’m leaving them in the past.
FOG is a potent visual and visceral metaphor for being lost and unable to see a way forward, which most of us have experienced at least once in our lives. This blog serves as a record of my emergence, not just from the fog, but from the limiting beliefs that have stunted my achievement and fulfilment in life.
FOG: Funny Old Guy. This goop all comes outta my brain and through my tapping fingers into the wild. I may not be old, but a wisdom of the ages is growing in my heart.
